My sister-in-law Joy (Joel’s little sister) is getting married this summer — 7/7/07, to be exact — and her mother recently threw her a lovely bridal shower. Doesn’t she look happy?
Somehow I ended up being in charge of games and, even though I’m universally not crazy about shower games (both bridal and baby) and I suspect Joy’s not fond of them either, people seemed to enjoy them despite their initial reluctance. And if they didn’t enjoy them, they at least faked some serious enthusiasm, which is all a girl can really expect, right? And at the end of it all, there was this dessert table:
Beautiful, isn’t it? That bowl of berries makes me swoon… Ah, good family + good friends + good food = good times.
