I took this picture through the sun roof of my car while driving home from work one day this summer. I miss days like this. I barley remember them, but I know I miss them. It’s raining again today for, like, the seventh day in a row. The sun is a distant memory. The whole year has been like this, it seems. I heard on the news yesterday that my area has had something like 15 more inches of rain this year than in an average year. 15 inches! Sheesh. Although, I guess it could be worse. Did you ever read that short story – All Summer in a Day – in elementary or middle school? You totally should. I read it (7th grade Language Arts, I think? Mrs. Donohue? Maybe that was 8th grade…) and it had a profound effect on me. I always think of it when I get bummed about excessive rain. It’s a good reminder to keep things in perspective. After all, there’s always tomorrow. Have a good day!

Very cool book. You know, I was thinking about this the other day. I was trying to think of my favorite book and I remembered that it was “All of them” and to be a bit more specific, “You know, which ever ones are lying around. ”
Punk. You just can’t even resist the opportunity to take a shot at Palin, can you? She’s still a darn sight better than Obama, or even Biden, any day.
Do you remember when we read that story? Was it 7th or 8th grade? And who was the Language Arts teacher in 7th grade? Mrs. Donohue was 8th grade, right? Does it make me officially OLD that I can’t remember this stuff…?
In a word . . . yes.
Nice. Call me old and then don’t even help me remember when we read that damn story…that’s less than helpful. Jerk.
